Volunteer Awards Launch

This Volunteers Week, we launched our FoodCycle Volunteer Awards to recognise and say thank you to the incredible people who help us nourish communities across the country.

So, we looked at the hours our volunteers had donated and designed a system to reward them for every milestone they reached.

  • For 50 hours – Volunteers receive a digital certificate
  • For 100 hours – Volunteers receive a certificate and a Plum pin badge
  • For 200 hours – Volunteers receive a  certificate and a Peach pin badge
  • For 300 hours – Volunteers receive a certificate and the coveted Strawberry pin badge

We hope our volunteers will wear their fruity badges with pride and be encouraged to sign up again to reach their next milestone. They will receive their certificates and badges direct from FoodCycle HQ every three months. We think they will look great pinned to aprons, t-shirts and bags.

FoodCycle has only reached its 10th Birthday and provided 1 Million meals because of the dedicated volunteers who collect surplus food, cook amazing meals and make our guests feel welcome every week. A huge thank you to all of them.
