Spiced Apple Chutney

red onion(s) (finely chopped)

large Braeburn apples (peeled, cored and diced)

dark brown soft sugar

red wine vinegar

Equipment needed: Mixing bowl, jar and fridge.

For 4 people = 1 jar.

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

  2. Give them a good stir and season generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Pour into a sterilized jar and refrigerate.

  4. Leave for 2 – 3 days, shaking once a day before eating.

  5. Keep for up to a week more… enjoy!
