Flatbreads

Serves:

Ingredients

150

g

Self-raising flour

120

g

Plain yoghurt

0.5

tbsp

Baking powder

Equipment needed: Food processor, cookie cutter, hob & saucepan

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and combine until a dough forms. Dough will be on the sticky/wet side. (If you are making for a larger quantity you won’t be able to fit the whole amount in food processor at one time, so split into half and then combine).

  2. Tip out dough onto lightly floured work surface and knead into a ball shape. Roll out to around 3mm thickness. Use a round cookie cutter cut out your flatbreads and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper as you go.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan over a medium heat. Add around 1 tablespoon vegetable oil per batch. Once oil is warm, fry the flatbreads in batches of 3-4 at a time until golden on both sides. You may need to adjust the heat slightly as you go.
