Hotpoint Helps Us To Help Communities Across The Country!

North London Community Fridge

We love a community-based story at FoodCycle and so were thrilled when our amazing FoodCycle Finsbury Park volunteer Peter Bradley sent us snaps of a recently launched community project in North London.

Working with local charities City Harvest and My Yard, the community fridge is part of a hub for the residents of Harrow. The fridge was donated by our long-term partner Hotpoint and is helping around 50 families a week. It’s great to hear from Peter that local teenagers are stepping up to help out and there’s even a local allotment being cleared so that the volunteers can start growing produce. Amazing.

FoodCycle Salford Langworthy Gets a New Freezer

Team Hotpoint came to the rescue again recently at FoodCycle Salford Langworthy, donating and delivering a brand new freezer. Giving the team a much-needed tool to store surplus produce for their weekly Cook & Collect takeaway service every Tuesday from 7-8pm, the team was thrilled (under the facemasks, it was big smiles all round!)

Big thanks to Peter Bradley at FoodCycle Finsbury Park and Ian Winstanley, our North West Regional Manager for the fantastic pictures!
