New Chair of FoodCycle Board of Trustees

We are pleased to announce that Stephen Catling, currently a Trustee at FoodCycle, will succeed Penny Daly as Chair of the Trustee Board in September 2018.

Penny has held the Chair for the last 4 years and has been a Trustee for over 5 years. She will be standing down from the Trustee Board but will continue to support FoodCycle as an Ambassador. You will continue to see her at many of the Projects and at the Conference.

Stephen Catling joined the Board of Trustees in 2017. He was initially involved with FoodCycle through providing a pro-bono mentoring programme in 2015 at Head office.

Stephen is a true foodie. He studied Food Science and Chemistry at University and has subsequently been nearly 30 years in the food and food ingredients industry. He currently has his own company providing advisory, non-executive and consulting services to the food, ingredients and speciality chemical industry. Stephen has had a special focus on the nutrition and wellness area over the last year.

Stephen said,” It is a great honour to take over as Chair of the Trustees Board. On behalf of the whole FoodCycle family, I want to say an enormous thank you to Penny for all her hard work, her passion and support to the charity.

I intend to continue the fantastic contribution she has made during her tenure. FoodCycle has an exciting growth plan across the UK and I look forward to working with the Trustees and the FoodCycle team in its delivery”
